The main entry of the redesigned Tuttle Elementary School evokes images of kites on a windy day, creating a sense of joy as students enter the school. These kite-like elements form the front door canopy and establish a recognizable entry point for pedestrian and vehicular traffic. The facility helps promote interaction and collaboration among its culturally diverse student population and projects a positive image to the community. Tuttle Elementary School

An integral part of the design for this research facility was to create showcase labs which have transparent glass walls allowing spectator viewing from several vantage points. Architectural gestures such as sloping walls, shifting forms, and a layering of materials implies a dynamic movement of tectonics. Copper, slate, tile, wood and polished granite are some of the repeated textures and materials that accent an earth-toned palette. Schlumberger Doll Research

Various materials make up the exterior skin of the LEED certified New England BioLabs corporate headquarters, including copper panels and a pale green glass curtain wall which runs the length of both sides of the building. Unique to this curtain wall are the horizontal copper fins with snap-on mullion cover caps located above and below the glass, which act as shading devices and minimize the building's heat gain.
